Boring a LT80 to its biggest bore is the most basic way to improve its performance. Other easy to install upgrades include adding torque gearing, carbon graphite brake shoes, and more. This article will help you improve your bike’s performance in every area. If you’re not sure where to start, follow these tips. You might be surprised at how much better your bike feels than stock.

Boring a lt80 to the biggest and most reasonable bore

There are a few things to remember before bore-boring your LT80. Make sure to stand it on its rear wheels. Then, strap it over the rafters and remove the pivot bolt from the starter. Pull the pivot and fully choke the engine until it starts. Let it idle until it sputters slightly. Then, back off the choke to idle again.

Adding torque gearing

If you want to increase the speed of your Suzuki LT80, you can upgrade the gearing with a speed improvement kit. These kits include three pieces: a high quality CNC machined aluminum rear axle sprocket, a steel countershaft sprocket, and a gold 428 MX chain. These upgrades increase top speed and reduce rolling resistance while making the bike much faster. Compared to stock sprockets, these chains are much lighter, reducing rolling resistance, and adding a lot of horsepower.
