If you’re using the Maximo backend to control your system, you’ll often have to manually log out of admin mode. There are a few ways to do this. Here are some examples. You’ll need to set the security groups you need for different users. You can create a custom MAXADMIN group. To turn off admin mode, you need to be in the security group.

If you want to switch on or off admin mode in Maxio from backend, you can perform two operations. First, use exportapp to export your application definition. Then, use SetAdminMode to toggle admin mode on or off. SetAdminMode behaves the same way as in the user interface. But, note that you can limit the number of users who can login with admin mode on. If you don’t want to allow other users to log in to your UI while admin mode is on, you can also use the max session limit.
The first option allows you to change database configurations without shutting down the Maximo server. However, you should ALWAYS turn off Admin Mode after you’ve made the changes. It is important to note that the permission for admin mode is different from the security authorization for administrator logins. This way, users cannot log in to admin mode by mistake. So, make sure to log out after you’ve finished making changes.

How to turn off admin mode in Maxio? This feature allows you to turn off admin mode without having to go to the UI. The main object of the Maxio application is called Record Release. If this field is blank, the system will display an error message saying “Record not found.”
Admin Mode in Maximo 7.x is a privilege granted to the system administrator and allows him to configure the database. Admin Mode is accessed from the Database Configuration application, and can restrict users from using some applications. In order to enable this privilege, a user must have the “Can Log In During Admin Mode” privilege. This permission is required for administrators to edit and change data stored in the database.

In the Admin Mode page, you can change the number of minutes before an application user can log out. This value is usually found under “Administration” in the Maxio backend. In most cases, switching off Admin Mode kicks out all users unless they are explicitly allowed. Alternatively, you can disable it entirely by changing the mxe.adminmode.logoutmin value to a number that suits your needs.
To disable the Admin Mode in Maxio, open the Service Requests application and click on the pencil icon. It will change to a green pencil with a border and allow you to edit the records. To toggle Edit Mode on and off, you can click on the Next Record or Previous Record buttons, or simply return to the List tab. Then click on the Edit Mode Enabled check box, and you’re done!
In the Admin Mode, you can add users, start the Maximo server, and modify the database settings. If you’re the administrator, you can also restart the Maximo application and make other changes. You can also use the Database Configuration application to change the attributes of objects or configure the Maximo database. Afterwards, you can restart the Maximo application. However, the Admin mode remains active until you turn it off.
Event listeners
You can enable event listeners to fire when your application is starting. When you start your application server, it loads the services and event listeners. To enable this feature, add the global CONNECTON_RATE_LISTENER_NAME parameter to the protocol address. However, note that you cannot enable this feature on an event listener if you want to prevent the system from generating too many events. This will break data integrity.
You can enable or disable ADR tracing by defining the DIAG_ADR_ENABLED_LISTER_NAME parameter. This parameter controls whether or not to generate ADR files and provides diagnostic parameters when the ADR is enabled. If you enable non-ADR tracing, you should set this parameter to off. You can also configure the value of the TRACE_LEVEL_LISTENER_FILE parameter in Maxio. You can also configure the amount of listener trace files.

In order to perform structural database configuration, users must switch on admin mode in Maxio. Once you’re in admin mode, you cannot log into Maximo. To turn off admin mode, you must sign out of Maximo, ensure that all cron tasks have been finished, and ensure that the maxsession active flag is 0 before attempting to log in again. However, this process is not entirely straightforward.
Fortunately, Maximo 7.x has a function called ‘Admin Mode’ that allows a system administrator to configure the database.
